Dogwood 95 is dedicated to bridging the gap between the world of arthouse film and mainstream audiences.

Barry Jenkins had a great quote regarding his motivations for using Southern Hip-Hop mixing techniques on the otherwise classical score for his film, MOONLIGHT. He said he wanted to “Bring the Art House to the Hood.” That saying stuck with me. I believe that by putting the story first, and examining the similarities between seemingly different cultures, we can create a deeper understanding of, and appreciation for, all walks of life. So I chopped-and-screwed Barry’s quote to reflect my own experiences and goals.
